10 Student Entrepreneurs Get ₦200,000 Each at Fembol Grant Pitch Day

Ten student entrepreneurs have emerged as finalists and received ₦200,000 each during the Fembol Student Grant Pitch Day, an initiative of Fembol Group aimed at supporting young entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship, and business exposure.

The Fembol Student Grant Pitch Day, which serves as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, attracted over 500 applications from students across various tertiary institutions in Nigeria. After a thorough screening process, shortlisted applicants took part in a one-day entrepreneurship bootcamp where they received practical training to refine their ideas, business models, and pitching skills.

The ten finalists presented their business ideas in areas such as wellness, energy, and sustainability. They were evaluated by a panel of industry experts on innovation, feasibility, scalability, and execution before three winners were selected.

The top three entrepreneurs were awarded grants totaling over three million naira, distributed as follows:

  • Winner – approximately ₦1.5million
  • Pemnia Wellness — Opeyemi Adebisi
  • Pemnia Wellness focuses on promoting holistic health and wellness through accessible and sustainable solutions.
  • 1st Runner-Up – approximately ₦1million
  • Versatile Energy — Nura Idris
  • Versatile Energy provides innovative energy solutions aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability.
  • 2nd Runner-Up – approximately ₦500,000
  • Save Extra Ecopads — Joy Mamkwe
  • Save Extra Ecopads addresses menstrual health challenges through eco-friendly and affordable sanitary products.

Speaking at the event, a representative of Fembol Group reaffirmed the company’s dedication to supporting youth innovation and entrepreneurship.

“At Fembol, we believe that empowering young people with viable ideas is critical to building sustainable businesses and a resilient economy. The Student Grant is our way of supporting the next generation of founders,” the representative said.

Participants also benefited from mentorship, feedback from judges, and networking opportunities designed to help them scale their ventures and achieve long-term growth.
