The prestigious 2025 National Cyber Security Conference officially opened today in Abuja, setting a bold direction for Nigeria’s digital future. The high-level event is focused on addressing rising cyber threats and advancing national security through robust digital strategies.

Held under the visionary theme, “Building a Resilient Digital Future,” the conference is aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which emphasizes strengthening national security for peace and economic prosperity.

In his opening address, the Director-General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, outlined key priorities to drive Nigeria’s cybersecurity readiness.

“Our aim is to reinforce the resilience of our national cybersecurity framework, bolster defenses, cultivate global partnerships, advocate for comprehensive cybersecurity education, and invest in innovative technological solutions,” Abdullahi said. “We also honour the trailblazers in the field of cybersecurity.”

He emphasized unity as a national tool in safeguarding digital infrastructure, noting, “We must unite to strengthen the digital backbone of the nation, ensuring a secure and prosperous future for all.”
