The National Examinations Council (NECO) has made a firm announcement regarding the 2025 NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for internal candidates. In a video posted on X, the Registrar and Chief Executive of NECO, Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, stated that candidates who arrive late to exam venues will not be allowed to enter.
“It has been observed recently that candidates have developed the habit of coming to examination hall late in order to perpetrate examination malpractice and other sharp practices,” Wushishi said.
He emphasized that all candidates must be at their exam centers by 9:30am, at least 30 minutes before the exam begins at 10am. This time will be used for attendance verification, biometric capturing, and other registration checks.
According to NECO, any candidate who comes after the exam has started will not be allowed into the hall. In addition, no student will be permitted to leave the hall until the paper ends.
