Recall that Nigeria is set to make history in 2026 as it prepares to host two major public relations events, the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) and the African Public Relations Association (APRA) Conference. In this spirit, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, via his official X handle, stated that “2026 is going to be a truly remarkable year for the profession and practice of Public Relations in Nigeria”.
Idris praised the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) for leading the efforts in securing the hosting rights, noting that, “Commendation for this double-feat of securing the two prestigious hosting rights goes to all stakeholders led by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).”
He added that the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation is proud to support this historic achievement.
