Value Jet to commence twice-weekly Ogun-Abuja flights

Excitement is building as Value Jet Airlines prepares to launch two weekly flights from the Gateway International Airport (GWI) in Ogun State, starting Thursday, October 7. The announcement comes after the state-of-the-art airport received full approval from relevant regulatory agencies.

According to the flight schedule released by Value Jet, flights will operate every Tuesday and Thursday on the GWI-Abuja route. The outbound flight will depart GWI at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at 9:45 a.m. The return flight is scheduled to leave Abuja at 4:00 p.m. and land back at GWI by 5:15 p.m.

In a statement, the airline revealed that tickets will be available for purchase starting Thursday, September 25. Bookings can be made online, through licensed travel agents, or directly at the ticket desks located at the Gateway International Airport.

With this development, passengers from Ogun State, Ibadan, Lagos, and surrounding areas will have direct air connectivity to Abuja and other destinations. The new service is expected to boost business travel, tourism, and economic activities in the region.

“Many of our customers, especially business owners, contractors, bankers, and government officials, have expressed excitement about flying from GWI,” the airline stated. “They see it as a convenient hub to connect Lagos and other parts of the country while enjoying the modern facilities at the airport.”
