The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI), in collaboration with the International Bio-Research Institute (IBI), has announced the launch of “Emerging Tech Skills for Africa – Cohort 2,” a program designed to equip young Africans with globally relevant digital skills.
According to the organizers, the program will feature 10 internationally recognized diploma certification tracks, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics, virtual reality, mixed reality and augmented reality, cybersecurity, cloud computing, CGI animation, business intelligence analysis, 3D animation, 2D animation, product design for agile and kanban environments, and agile scrum product management.
The course is scheduled to run for 17 weeks, equivalent to four months, with lectures delivered through fully virtual classes supported by blended co-learning touchpoints. Registration and orientation are ongoing and will continue until the end of October 2025, while formal lectures are set to begin in the first week of November 2025.
The application process requires prospective students to visit www.etsapfrica.com, click “Get Started,” select Cohort 2, complete the application form, pay a non-refundable application fee of N6,000, and await admission credentials via email. Participants will also be required to join the Cohort 2 Discord community for updates and peer learning.
Organizers confirmed that successful candidates will receive an accredited international diploma issued under the Interuniversity Research Centre for Sustainable Development (CIRPS), Rome, Italy, and endorsed by more than 170 universities and research institutions worldwide.
