Auchi Polytechnic has announced the commencement of recruitment for academic staff vacancies across its schools and departments. In a notice signed by the Office of the Registrar, the management stated that the recruitment exercise is open to both internal and external candidates.
According to the announcement, the polytechnic is inviting applications from qualified individuals to take up positions in the School of Administration, Business and Management Studies, Agricultural Technology, Applied Science and Technology, Art and Industrial Design, Engineering Technology, Environmental Studies, Financial Studies, and the School of Information and Communication Technology.
The available departments include Local Government Administration, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Extension and Management, Fisheries Technology, Community Health, Pharmaceutical Technology, Printing Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Petroleum and Gas Processing Technology, Architectural Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Microfinance and Enterprise Development, Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Film and Multimedia Production, and Library and Information Science, among others.
The positions advertised are Senior Lecturer (CONPCASS 07), Lecturer I (CONPCASS 06), Lecturer II (CONPCASS 05), Lecturer III (CONPCASS 03), and Librarian I (CONPCASS 03). The notice explained that applicants must possess relevant academic qualifications ranging from good Master’s degrees to doctoral degrees, with teaching, research, or industrial experience as part of the requirements. “Publications in reputable journals and presentation of conference papers remain mandatory for higher-level positions,” the statement added.
Applicants are instructed to submit 20 copies of their application letters, detailed curriculum vitae, and photocopies of academic and professional credentials. Supporting documents must include birth certificates, NYSC discharge certificates, valid government-issued identification, and a medical fitness certificate. Candidates are also required to provide names of three referees, who must send confidential reports directly to the Registrar.
The polytechnic stressed that all applicants must be ICT-compliant. It also noted that individuals entering the public service for the first time must not be above 50 years of age at the time of resumption. “Every application must clearly state the position and school or department being applied for and should be submitted under confidential cover,” the notice read.
Applications are to be addressed to the Registrar, Auchi Polytechnic, P.M.B. 13, Auchi, Edo State, within four weeks of the advertisement date. The institution warned that late applications will not be considered and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
