TVET by IDEAS has officially begun sending admission letters to successful trainees across the country. The letters, which carry details of the training institutions and specific skill types, are now reaching selected candidates. One of the institutions involved is the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka, under the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria and the Federal Ministry of Environment.
An admission letter with Ref. No: FCFM/IDEAS/TVET.TP/1/29 dated 3rd October 2025 was addressed to Yakubu Yau. It confirmed his selection into the short-term Technical and Vocational Education and Training program. The letter read, “We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected to participate in the short-term Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program, sponsored by the IDEAS Project.”
The training will run from October 2025 to March 2026 at the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation Afaka, Kaduna. According to the letter, the participant has been enrolled under Mechanized Agriculture (Operations) skill type within the Agriculture Sector.
Participants are required to meet the set conditions. “As a participant in this program, you will be expected to; attend all training sessions and activities, participate in class discussions, and adhere to the institution’s rules and regulations,” the letter stated.
The IDEAS Project confirmed that it will cover tuition fees and stipends for transportation. Candidates are also directed to confirm acceptance by issuing a formal acceptance letter. The letter was signed by Aliyu H.S., Training Manager.
