Adamawa State has inaugurated the Multi-Sectoral Coordination Structure (ASMCS) for the Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up Project (NFWP-SU) at the office of the Chief of Staff to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri. The event marks a major step in advancing women empowerment, economic inclusion, and sustainable development in the state.

The Nigeria for Women Program Scale-Up Project is a World Bank–assisted initiative domiciled in the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development. The program will begin in three Local Government Areas—Madagali, Fufore, and Numan—approved by Governor Fintiri. It focuses on empowering women, improving their livelihoods, and institutionalizing women’s affinity groups that promote economic growth and financial inclusion.

According to officials, the NFWP-SU consists of three major components: Livelihood Programs, Community and Institutional Building, and Project Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation. These components are designed to enhance economic opportunities for unbanked and underserved women, promoting entrepreneurship and financial independence across the state.
