The Director General of the Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA), Dr. Michael Zira, has presented a cash gift and food items to orphanage homes in Yola to celebrate the 58th birthday of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

During the visit, Dr. Zira, accompanied by his staff, was taken on a tour of the facility by the Matron to assess the condition of the orphans. He promised to personally intervene in addressing the infrastructural deficit of the orphanage upon the Matron’s request.

According to Dr. Zira, the Governor’s compassion and dedication to the welfare of Adamawa citizens inspired the decision to mark the birthday by reaching out to orphans. “Governor Fintiri’s passion for humanity and his love for the people of Adamawa motivated us to celebrate this day with those who need support the most,” he said.

The PAWECA Boss praised the Governor and his wife for their continued efforts toward improving the lives of the less privileged. “His Excellency and the First Lady deserve accolades for their kindness and commitment to social welfare,” he added.

Earlier, the Matron of the orphanage, Hajara Murtala Adamu, highlighted their infrastructural needs and thanked Dr. Zira for the donation. One of the orphans, Sajo Murtala, and Blessing Yakubu from Saint Suzan Orphanage Foundation, expressed gratitude to Dr. Zira, wishing him more success in his service to humanity.

Murtala also commended Governor Fintiri for his constant support to orphanages and prayed for God to bless his leadership.

Meanwhile, Dr. Zira extended the same gesture to Saint Suzan Orphanage Foundation, Kwanan Waya, urging privileged individuals to support vulnerable groups. The Matron, Mrs. Suzan Drambi, appreciated the DG’s visit and congratulated the Governor on his 58th birthday.
