Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin-Ekiti (FUTESIYIN) has announced vacancies across academic and non-teaching positions as part of efforts to strengthen its workforce and promote quality education. According to the management, recruitment applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to help drive the university’s vision and mission.
The university disclosed that positions are available in the Faculties of Computing, Natural and Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology, and Environmental Sciences. The academic roles include Professor, Reader, Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, II, and Assistant Lecturer in various departments such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Data Science, and Information and Communication Technology.
The institution added that non-teaching positions are also open in departments such as the Registry, Legal Unit, ICT, Bursary, Corporate Affairs, Medical and Health Services, and Works and Maintenance. “Applicants are expected to possess the required qualifications and experience relevant to each role. Professional registration where applicable is compulsory,” the statement noted.
For academic staff, requirements include a Ph.D. degree, publications in reputable journals, and experience in teaching and research. The post of Professor requires at least fifteen years of post-qualification teaching experience and a minimum of twenty percent of publications indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. Readers and Senior Lecturers must have similar qualifications with not less than ten years of experience.
Non-academic roles such as Chief Accountant, Chief Security Officer, Principal Registrar, Procurement Officer, Medical Officer, and Director of Works also require professional competence and ICT proficiency. The Chief Security Officer position demands at least 18 years of cognate experience, preferably from law enforcement or the armed forces.
The statement confirmed that “applications should be submitted online via https://recruitment.futes.edu.ng.” The recruitment portal opens from Monday, November 3, 2025, and closes on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Candidates are to provide names and addresses of three referees, one of whom must be in the applicant’s field. Referees are expected to upload their reports directly on the recruitment portal. Unsolicited applications for unadvertised roles will not be acknowledged, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
