The Plateau State University (PLASU), Bokkos, has announced fresh recruitment opportunities for academic and non-teaching staff across various faculties and departments. The announcement was made through the Office of the Registrar, Yakubu F. Ayuba, who stated that the University is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill existing vacancies.
The Plateau State University, Bokkos, established by law and recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC) on April 5, 2005, continues to promote academic excellence. The University’s permanent site is located within the Butura and Tarangol axis of Bokkos Local Government Area, known for its beautiful landscape and conducive learning environment.
The new recruitment covers the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, and the Registry Department.
In the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, vacancies exist in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, including the Departments of Anatomy, Medical Biochemistry, and Physiology, as well as in the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, under the Department of Community Medicine. Available positions include Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer I.
The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences announced openings in several departments, including Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicine, Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Management, Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, and Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology. Positions available are for Senior Lecturer, Lecturer I, and Lecturer II.
In the Faculty of Arts, the Department of Religion and Cultural Studies is seeking Senior Lecturers and Lecturer II, while the Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences, Department of Statistics, has vacancies for Senior Lecturer, Lecturer II, and Assistant Lecturer.
For non-teaching positions, the Registry Department is recruiting for the post of Confidential Secretary I.
