The Zamfara State Committee for the Recruitment of Teachers has confirmed that the final post-recruitment screening for the recently approved 500 successful teacher candidates will take place later this month.

In an official public service announcement dated November 14, 2025, the committee stated that the screening exercise is a mandatory step for employment verification, identity confirmation, and final clearance before appointment letters are issued. The update is part of the ongoing government jobs process aimed at strengthening education recruitment across the state.

According to the announcement, “The mandatory screening exercise is scheduled to hold for three days, from Tuesday, November 26th to Thursday, November 28th, 2025.” The committee added that all shortlisted teacher candidates must report to GGASS Gusau between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily. The exercise will determine eligibility for final placement and is a key stage in the teacher recruitment system approved by the Executive Governor, Dr. Dauda Lawal.

The committee stressed that candidates must arrive with both originals and photocopies of eight required documents. These include a valid means of identification such as a National ID card, Voters Card, Driver’s License, or International Passport. Required academic certificates include NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc., B.A, PGDE, and O’Level results.

Candidates must also present their NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter, a local government indigene certificate, and a medical certificate of fitness issued by a recognized government hospital. These documents will be cross-checked with earlier application records to ensure accuracy in the employment verification process.

A warning was also issued to all candidates. The announcement stated, “Failure to turn up for this final post-recruitment screening exercise within the stipulated dates or failure to present any of the mandatory documents listed above will lead to the candidate being automatically disqualified.” The committee urged all affected individuals to comply with the schedule to avoid losing their positions.

The statement was signed by Hon. Muhammad Aliyu Tukur, Chairman of the Committee for Recruitment of Teachers, Zamfara State.
