Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Budo-Egba in Kwara State has announced that recruitment is now open, calling for applications from qualified candidates across Nigeria to fill several vacancies. The management explained that the openings cover different medical and nursing positions, and urged interested applicants to follow all instructions carefully. According to the hospital, “applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates (from all over Nigeria)” for multiple roles.
The hospital listed positions for Consultants in Psychiatry or Family Medicine under CONMESS 6. Candidates for this role must hold a Fellowship of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, the West African College of Physicians or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. The statement noted that all documents must be registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and supported with an annual practicing license, as well as an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Resident Doctors in Psychiatry under CONMESS 3 are also needed. The hospital stated that applicants “must possess evidence of graduation from any accredited Medical School (MB;BS or equivalent)” and show interest in Psychiatry, with or without a Primary certificate from NPMCN or WACP. Full registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria is required.
For Medical Officers under CONMESS 3, applicants must present evidence of graduation from an accredited medical school, full MDCN registration, a current practicing license, and an NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
The notice added vacancies for Senior Nursing Officers under CONHESS 9. Candidates must hold a BNSc from an accredited institution, provide full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, and show a valid annual practicing license and NYSC evidence.
Nursing Superintendent positions under CONHESS 7 are open to those with Basic Nursing plus either post basic midwifery, post basic psychiatry, or a diploma in psychiatric nursing. Registered or Staff Nurses under CONHESS 6 must have Basic Nursing or a basic diploma in psychiatry, with full registration and an active practicing license.
Applicants are required to submit one copy of their application with photocopies of credentials and a detailed curriculum vitae. The CV should include name, age, sex, place of birth, home address, nationality, state, LGA, contact details, marital status, institutions attended, qualifications, extracurricular activities and three referees’ contact details.
Applications must be placed in a sealed envelope marked with the specific cadre and addressed to the Medical Director at the hospital’s Budo-Egba location. The management warned that the deadline is two weeks from the date of the advertisement and stressed that “previous applications are not valid” and that the hospital has not appointed any middlemen, urging the public to be cautious of employment racketeers.
