The Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP) has released the list of successful beneficiaries for its 2026 postgraduate scholarship grant, with a total of 300 candidates selected.
The scholarship scheme is part of HYPREP’s human capital development efforts aimed at supporting indigenes of Ogoniland to acquire advanced education that can contribute to environmental restoration and sustainable development in the region. Beneficiaries were drawn from the four Ogoni local government areas of Eleme, Gokana, Khana and Tai in Rivers State.
The released list, which is currently circulating on official and community-linked platforms, contains the names of postgraduate students admitted for master’s and doctoral programmes in recognised Nigerian universities. The selection process followed screening and verification procedures in line with the programme’s guidelines.
