The Kwara State Government has distributed nutritional and educational support items to orphans and vulnerable children in Gwanara Community, located in Baruten Local Government Area.
Speaking during the distribution, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Opeyemi Afolashade, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring that every child counts and receives adequate care across the state.
Represented by the Deputy Director, Child Development Directorate, Hajia Rekiat Bello, the commissioner explained that the items were provided to meet the basic needs of the children so they do not feel neglected.
She also commended the Emir of Gwanara for promoting peace and harmony within the community.
