About 2,050 prospective Corps members have been deployed to Bauchi State by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ stream of national service.
The deployment was disclosed by Kufre Umoren, the state NYSC Coordinator, in a statement issued to journalists on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, in Bauchi.
According to him, registration will be held from January 21 to January 23 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Wailo, in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
He said the swearing-in ceremony is billed for January 23, while the orientation exercise will end on February 10.
Umoren stated that only corps members adequately certified as genuine graduates would be admitted into the camp, adding that discreet screening would be carried out to prevent intrusion or impersonation.
“Registration dates have been announced to the corps members, and they are advised to adhere strictly to all camp rules and regulations,” he said.
“Defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the scheme’s extant rules,” Umoren added.
The scheme warned corps members against late-night journeys, urged them to stay safe, and tasked them with punctuality, diligence, and full compliance with the approved dress code, noting that defaulters would face sanctions.
He said corps members must conduct themselves responsibly throughout the orientation period and represent the scheme positively at all times.
