The Obudu Local Government Council has unveiled Phase II of the Pita Pars Free JAMB UTME Form 2026 initiative, reaffirming its commitment to expanding access to tertiary education for indigent and deserving youths across the local government area.
The second phase represents an expansion of the programme. In its first phase last year, 150 candidates benefited from the scheme, while the Executive Chairman has increased the number to 200 candidates for the 2026 exercise. The beneficiaries will be drawn from the 10 political wards of Obudu LGA, irrespective of party affiliation, with special consideration given to indigent candidates in line with efforts to promote inclusive human capital development.
According to the council, applicants are required to use their National Identification Number (NIN) to generate a JAMB profile code and must have been born on or before 31st August 2010 to meet the age requirement. Prospective beneficiaries are expected to forward their profile code, full name, and council ward to the designated contact lines 08052122220 or 08035337231, 07089097652 and 07087793890, on or before 20th February 2026.
It was stated that all selected candidates must meet the required JAMB pass grades as stipulated by the examination body.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Dr. (Amb) Peter Akonfe Undiandeye, KSM, said the council remains committed to investing in education, describing it as “a pillar for development and youth empowerment in Obudu.”
