Lagos State Scholarship Board has opened the application portal for the 2025/2026 Lagos State Bursary and Scholarship Awards. This application window gives eligible Lagos State indigenes the opportunity to access financial support to help with tuition, learning materials, and other academic needs.
The bursary and scholarship scheme is part of the state government’s ongoing effort to promote education, reduce financial pressure on students, and encourage academic excellence across tertiary institutions in Nigeria. About Lagos Scholarship Board
The Lagos State Scholarship Board is the State Government’s organ established in February 1968 few months after creation of the state, saddled with the responsibilities of administering Bursary and Scholarship as well as other related matters.
Over the years, the Board has supported thousands of students through various funding schemes aimed at improving access to education. It works with relevant institutions to ensure transparency, fairness, and timely disbursement of approved awards. The Board also handles verification of applicants and ensures that only qualified Lagos State indigenes benefit from the programme.
Who Can Apply
Eligibility is strictly limited to:
- Newly admitted 2025/2026 students
- Previously admitted Lagos State indigenes who did not apply in
previous years. - Eligible applicants must be enrolled in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Applicants are expected to meet all stated conditions before applying, as eligibility checks will be carried out during and after the application process.

To ensure a seamless Registration process, Applicants are advised to have the following requirements handy before proceeding with application:
- Recent Passport Photograph
- Valid Means of Identification
- NIN
- LASSRA
- Matric Number
All documents must be clear and valid, as incorrect or missing details may affect approval.
