The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, on Thursday distributed ATM cards to 4,000 beneficiaries in the third batch of the flagship Renewed Hope Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) programme, in a continued effort to alleviate poverty and empower vulnerable households.
The event, held at the Local Government Secretariat, marked another milestone in the administration’s commitment to social intervention and economic inclusion. Beneficiaries were carefully selected through transparent community-based verification processes. They received ATM cards that will enable them to access financial support aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The programme targets 4,000 vulnerable residents across Ibeju-Lekki, selected from over 11,000 applicants. Each beneficiary is to receive N100,000 over a 20-month period. The initiative is designed to support low-income families, widows, persons with disabilities, and other marginalized groups. It aims to improve household stability, sustain small businesses, and help families build resilience against socio-economic challenges.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa urged beneficiaries to use the funds wisely. “This cash transfer is not just financial assistance; it is an investment in your future and the future of our community,” the Chairman said.

“I urge each of you to utilize these resources wisely, prioritize essential needs, invest in income-generating activities, support your families, and contribute to the growth of Ibeju-Lekki. Together, we are building a more inclusive and prosperous society,” he added.
The third batch distribution follows earlier phases, including the launch in November 2025 and the second batch handover in December 2025. The programme is fully funded by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government administration and continues to emphasize transparency, accountability, and direct impact on the most vulnerable residents.
