The Embassy of India in Baghdad has announced the opening of India scholarship for Nigerian students who are willing to study abroad as international students. This opportunity is offered through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) for the 2026–27 academic year.
According to the ICCR, applications are now invited from international students seeking admission into Indian universities and institutes. Nigerian students are eligible to apply for various programmes under the scholarship scheme.
The available programmes include Diploma Courses, Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Ph.D. programmes. This provides a wide range of academic options for students at different levels who are interested in pursuing higher education in India.

Applications will be accepted online starting from 23rd February 2026 through the ICCR A2A Scholarship Portal.
