The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of application forms for the 2026 Direct Entry programme at its offices nationwide.
In a statement posted on its official X account, JAMB announced that registration began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will close on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The board stressed that the entire process, including the purchase of e-PINs and application documents, is available only at its accredited state and zonal offices across the country.
The Direct Entry option allows candidates with qualifications such as a National Diploma, National Certificate in Education, Interim Joint Matriculation Board certificate, A-levels, or other approved equivalents to gain admission directly into 200 level in Nigerian universities without sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The commencement of Direct Entry registration follows the conclusion of the 2026 UTME registration exercise, which ended on February 28.
