Speaking on the significance of the workshop, Adetola Odusote, Chairman of the PRCAN Education Sub-Committee, described the Knowledge Hub as a strategic shift in the association’s capacity-building efforts.

“The PRCAN Knowledge Hub marks a strategic evolution of our capacity-building mandate. As technology transforms communication practices, we must equip practitioners with future-ready competencies,” Odusote said.

He added, “This platform empowers professionals, institutions, and policymakers to leverage digital disruption as a strategic advantage through the responsible and intelligent application of AI.”

The hybrid event is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 24, at the Lagos Marriott Hotel Ikeja and is being championed by the PRCAN Executive Council under the leadership of Nkechi Ali-Balogun.

Key facilitators for the Knowledge Hub include Karl Haechler, Chief Executive Officer at Burson Africa, and Tomiwa Aladekomo, Chief Executive Officer at TechCabal. The sessions will be moderated by Mojisola Saka of Booucles Africa and Ayeni Adekunle, Founder and CEO of Black House Media.

According to the organisers, the Knowledge Hub will serve as PRCAN’s flagship professional development platform, targeting senior and mid-level practitioners across the public and private sectors. It will also welcome members of allied industry bodies such as Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN), Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria (OAAN), Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), and Media Independent Practitioners Association of Nigeria (MIPAN).

The three-week programme will feature case studies, interactive workshops, and demonstrations of AI tools, covering topics such as AI algorithms in public relations, crisis communication in volatile online environments, AI-driven content creation, reputation management, and deepfake detection.
