Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) trainees who have been stuck can now choose a centre on their dashboard, as it is finally working and no longer showing, “No skills or centers found near your location. Please contact support for assistance.”
Nigeria Startup News can confirm that those it is now working for had waited for more than seven days for it to function properly.
However, while it now works, note that you might be assigned a training centre that is far from your location.
The reason many trainees are not yet able to get a centre is simply because there are few centres nationwide.
This is how mine has been showing, and every day I check, it is always the same.
If your dashboard is still telling you to select your skill and training centre for your application, but also shows the error message, “No skills or centers found near your location. Please contact support for assistance,” keep trying again.
Once there is a nearby centre, it will be selected, especially when a new centre is added near you.
Note that this does not seem to be working for all new trainees yet.
Applicants with “Pending” status should continue checking their dashboard for now until a new batch is released.
