The Free Trade Fellowship Program 2026, organized by the Ominira Initiative, is now open for applications. The fellowship is designed for Nigerian journalists, academics, and researchers who want to deepen their understanding of economic development and free trade.
During the program, fellows will advocate for and promote free trade concepts mainly through writing, research, and media engagements. The goal is to encourage informed public conversations and policy awareness around economic development and open trade in Nigeria.
The fellowship will run virtually for six months, from April to September 2026. Participants will also receive incentives for activities they undertake throughout the duration of the program.
Interested applicants are encouraged to apply and become part of this year’s cohort of Free Trade Fellows. The application deadline is March 20, 2026.
