Applications are now open for the Bloom Grant, a funding opportunity designed to support women entrepreneurs in Nigeria who are building businesses that create meaningful social impact within their communities. The grant provides up to $1,000 in funding to selected applicants to help strengthen and expand their existing businesses.
The programme is aimed at women who have moved beyond the idea stage and are already running operational businesses. Applicants should demonstrate leadership, resilience, and a strong commitment to improving their communities through entrepreneurship. The Bloom Grant seeks to support business owners who are creating measurable social, economic, or community value while working to grow sustainable enterprises.
To qualify, applicants must be Nigerian women currently residing in Nigeria and must own a registered business that is already operational. The business should be in its early stages, with no more than five years in operation. In addition, applicants must clearly demonstrate how their business contributes positively to society and must be willing to participate in post-grant reporting and visibility activities if selected.
Applicants are required to submit several documents as part of the application process. These include proof of business registration, a business financial statement, and a letter of recommendation. Applicants will also be asked to complete up to seven short essay responses explaining their business and its impact.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief virtual interview as part of the final selection process. All required documents must be uploaded when completing the application form.
