The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) is set to begin screening for the 2026 phase of its Skill-Up Artisans Programme (SUPA), a national initiative designed to strengthen technical skills and promote entrepreneurship among young Nigerians.

The screening exercise is scheduled to commence on 26 March 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for youth to gain practical vocational training across the country.

The development was highlighted during an engagement between officials of the ITF Bauchi Area Office and representatives of the Bauchi State Government, where discussions focused on improving access to technical training for young people.

Deputy Director and Area Manager of ITF Bauchi, Ashore E. Paul, reaffirmed the organisation’s readiness to work closely with state governments and partners to broaden participation in the programme.

“We remain committed to collaborating with stakeholders to expand technical training opportunities and ensure more young Nigerians benefit from the Skill-Up Artisans Programme,” Paul said.

The programme aims to equip participants with practical skills in different technical trades, enabling them to either secure employment or start their own businesses.

Speaking during the engagement, the Special Adviser to the Bauchi State Governor on Youth and Entrepreneurship, Mohammed Atiku Isah, stressed the importance of partnerships in advancing youth development.

He said the state government is focused on supporting initiatives that promote skills acquisition and economic empowerment for young people, noting that such programmes play a key role in addressing youth unemployment.
