OES Releases Provisional Winners for ₦200m Recoverable Grant

The Ogoni Entrepreneurship Summit (OES) has released the provisional list of winners for its ₦200 million recoverable grant designed to support entrepreneurs, traders, and existing businesses across Ogoni communities.

The announcement was made by the Chairman of the OES Grant Selection Committee, Sir (Dr.) Leesi Gabriel Gborogbosi, who said the fund was provided by Chief Lesi Maol to strengthen entrepreneurship and economic activities in the region.

According to the committee, the beneficiaries announced are provisional winners, pending a due diligence process that will determine the final list of successful applicants.

“On behalf of the members of the OES Grant Selection Committee, I am pleased to announce the Provisional Winners of the ₦200 million fund provided by Chief Lesi Maol to support entrepreneurs, existing businesses, and micro-enterprises or traders in Ogoni,” Gborogbosi stated.

He explained that the provisional list includes different categories of beneficiaries selected from the applications received during the programme.

The committee disclosed that the list consists of 20 micro-enterprises and traders, 18 existing businesses, and 10 groups of entrepreneurs operating within Ogoni communities.

“These are provisional winners, as the final winners will be announced after the due diligence process. Please note that there may also be a supplementary list,” he added.

Gborogbosi said the selection process was guided by fairness and transparency to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants.

“This ensured that we adopted a fair, transparent process with equal opportunity and a level playing field for all applicants,” he noted.

He also announced that the award ceremony for the beneficiaries will take place on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
