The Centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) is inviting applications from women and girls for a Digital Literacy and Digital Hygiene training under its Agenda-WINNIG project, an initiative focused on closing the gender digital gap in Northern Nigeria.

The programme is designed to equip participants with practical digital skills and the knowledge needed to use the internet safely. It targets women and girls who want to improve how they learn online, protect themselves from digital risks, and explore opportunities for personal growth and small business development through digital tools.

Participants will receive hands-on training covering basic digital literacy, safe internet practices, and responsible online behaviour. The training also introduces simple ways to use digital platforms for education, communication, and income-generating activities. Mentorship support and training materials will also be provided to help participants apply what they learn beyond the sessions.

The training is open to females between the ages of 16 and 40 who have access to a smartphone or any digital device and are willing to participate fully in the programme. It will take place in Kano and Bauchi States, making it accessible to women and girls within these locations.

Applications are currently ongoing and will be reviewed on a rolling basis, with only shortlisted candidates contacted.
