The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP) has opened applications for its Internship Programme (WIP), inviting young individuals interested in peacebuilding and governance to apply. The programme targets candidates who want practical involvement in initiatives focused on conflict prevention, stability, and community development across West Africa.
WANEP states that selected interns will gain hands-on experience by contributing to ongoing peace and governance projects. The internship is structured to move beyond theory, placing participants directly within real operational environments where their input supports meaningful interventions.
Interns will develop practical skills in peacebuilding while working alongside experienced professionals. The programme also offers mentorship from regional experts, providing guidance on both technical responsibilities and career development within the sector.
