Bauchi Begins Offline Recruitment of Primary Health Care Workers

Bauchi State Government has begun an offline recruitment of primary health care workers across eleven selected local government areas, under a joint programme with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) aimed at reducing maternal mortality. The exercise is being carried out under the Midwives Service Scheme (MSS) and the Maternal Mortality Reduction Innovation Initiative (MAMII), with a focus on strengthening frontline health services in rural communities.

The recruitment covers key positions including Midwives, Community Health Extension Workers (CHEWs), Junior Community Health Extension Workers (JCHEWs), and Community-Based Health Care Workers (CBHCWs). Applicants are required to be indigenes or residents of Bauchi State, possess relevant qualifications and valid licences, and must be willing to work in rural areas. Those currently employed by any government or NGO are not eligible.

Interested candidates are to submit an application letter, Curriculum Vitae, copies of educational certificates, indigene certificate, birth certificate, two passport photographs, and a valid National ID.

Applications must be submitted through the Local Government Health Authority and addressed to the Executive Chairman, Bauchi State Primary Health Care Board, through the Primary Health Care Directors of respective Local Government Health Authorities, on or before March 24, 2026.
