NELEX is an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment aimed at reducing unemployment and improving access to jobs nationwide. It also provides useful tools such as CV building, career guidance, and skill development support to help applicants become job-ready and more competitive in the labour market.
The portal serves both job seekers and employers. While applicants can search and apply for jobs, employers and recruitment agencies can use the platform to find qualified candidates quickly. This makes the hiring process more efficient, transparent, and accessible to all parties involved.
Available job roles cut across multiple fields, including IT systems analysis, accounting, administration, legal and corporate affairs, managerial roles, sales, business development, and compliance management.
One of the key benefits of NELEX is the opportunity to earn either weekly or monthly income, depending on the job. Although there is no fixed salary, earnings vary by role and employer, with some positions offering as much as ₦600,000 per month.
To be eligible, candidates must be Nigerian citizens and have a CV and cover letter. There is no strict age or degree requirement to register, but having relevant academic qualifications, communication skills, professional certifications, and work experience can improve chances of securing a job.
