The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has directed candidates who registered for the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to print their examination slips ahead of the exercise scheduled for March 28, 2026.
In a notice shared on Monday via its official X platform, the board asked candidates to visit its website, select the “2026 Mock Slip Printing” option, and input their registration numbers to access their slips.
The board stated that the slip contains essential details such as examination centre, date, and time, which candidates must verify before the examination.
Providing further clarification, JAMB announced a change in the conduct of this year’s mock exercise. Unlike previous editions where different sets of candidates were scheduled across sessions, the 2026 mock will feature two sessions involving the same candidates.
According to the board, candidates are expected to arrive at their centres by 6:30 a.m., as biometric verification will run from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. The first session of the examination will commence at 8:00 a.m. and end by 10:00 a.m.
JAMB added that the second session will begin immediately after the first and conclude by 12:00 noon.
The mock UTME, introduced in 2017, is a preparatory exercise aimed at familiarising candidates with the computer-based testing system, while also enabling the board to test its technical infrastructure and the readiness of CBT centres nationwide.
Although participation is optional and does not affect admission, stakeholders say it remains a critical step in preparing candidates for the main UTME.
