The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has begun its 2026 staff promotion exercise nationwide, kicking off with Computer-Based Tests (CBT) for officers on CONITFSS Levels 6 to 10 on Tuesday, March 24.
The exercise is being conducted across key centres, including Abuja, Kaduna, Port Harcourt, Owerri, Ikeja, Oshogbo, Gombe, and Jos, with early reports pointing to a smooth and coordinated rollout. Candidates arrived early for accreditation, while officials ensured strict compliance with examination guidelines.
At the ITF Model Skills Training Centre in Maitama, the process started promptly at 9:00 a.m., reflecting what management described as a commitment to order and efficiency. “The examination commenced as scheduled, with full adherence to standards,” an official at the centre said.
Participants also expressed confidence in the process, with one candidate noting that “the exercise is transparent and well-organised, giving everyone a fair opportunity.”
The CBT phase marks the first stage of the promotion process and will be followed by interviews for successful candidates. According to the Fund, this structure is designed to reinforce merit-based career progression. “This exercise reflects our commitment to transparency and capacity development,” the ITF stated.
The promotion exercise will continue through March 30 for senior officers, with final examinations slated for April 1.
