The Katsina State Enterprise Development Agency (KASEDA), in partnership with the Bank of Industry, has disbursed a total of N171 million to 76 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises under the first batch of its 2026 interest-free loan programme.
The announcement was made on Wednesday, marking a major step in the state government’s efforts to improve access to finance for small businesses.
KASEDA said the initiative was aimed at supporting entrepreneurs to expand their operations, create jobs and contribute to economic growth across the state.
According to the agency, the beneficiaries were selected from different sectors after successfully completing the application, verification and documentation processes carried out in collaboration with the Bank of Industry.
It noted that the disbursement represents a critical phase in strengthening enterprise development and ensuring business sustainability in Katsina State.
The agency emphasised that the programme provides financial support without interest, thereby reducing the burden on business owners and encouraging growth among MSMEs.
KASEDA also disclosed that additional batches of beneficiaries are currently undergoing verification and documentation, adding that successful applicants would be announced in due course.
The agency, under the supervision of Dr Babangida Ruma and the administration of Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, reaffirmed its commitment to empowering small businesses, promoting inclusive economic development and improving livelihoods across the state.
It added that the list of beneficiaries for the first batch had been published.
