The Mastercard Foundation Associates Program is now open to Nigerians and young people across English-speaking West African countries who are ready to build meaningful careers. This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between education and employment by offering structured, real-world experience that prepares participants for long-term professional success.
At its core, the programme connects recent graduates and Mastercard Foundation alumni with a 12-month paid placement. Beyond just work experience, it focuses on equipping participants with the practical skills, confidence, and exposure needed to thrive in today’s competitive job market.
What Participants Gain

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Be between 18 and 34 years old
- Hold at least a diploma or first-degree qualification
- Be currently unemployed or underemployed
- Reside in an African country
- Be an alumnus of a Mastercard Foundation-supported programme
- Have completed mandatory national service (where applicable)
