The National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (NHGSFP) has extended its PBAT FEEDS “Snacks for Thought” initiative to LEA Nomadic Primary School, Karsana, in the Federal Capital Territory, providing breakfast to over 200 pupils.

The intervention followed the official launch and flag-off of the initiative in Abuja a day earlier, as part of efforts to improve child nutrition and enhance learning outcomes in public schools.

Speaking on the development, the National Programme Manager of NHGSFP, Dr Princess Aderemi Adebowole, said the initiative aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She noted that the programme is designed to ensure that children, especially those in rural and underserved communities, receive adequate nutrition to support their academic performance.

“Investing in the nutrition of our children is investing in the future of our nation,” Adebowole said. “We are committed to ensuring children arrive at school nourished and ready to learn.”

The outreach to LEA Nomadic Primary School highlights the programme’s commitment to reaching vulnerable populations and strengthening its grassroots impact.

The NHGSFP has continued to play a key role in addressing malnutrition among school-aged children, while also encouraging school enrolment and attendance across the country.
