The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
The examination body made this known in a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.
According to JAMB, the mock UTME was conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2026, across approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
How to check 2026 mock UTME result
JAMB said candidates can check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to either 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used during registration.
The board stressed that only the registered SIM linked to the candidate’s profile will be recognised for the result-checking process.
Number of candidates who sat for exam
The board disclosed that a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination.
Out of this number, 152,586 candidates successfully sat for the test, which was conducted across 989 CBT centres nationwide.
JAMB delists centres over technical issues
JAMB further revealed that more than 20 CBT centres experienced technical challenges during the exercise.
As a result, the affected centres have been delisted due to what the board described as technical inadequacies.
Warning against fraud and score inflation
The examination body warned candidates to be cautious of fraudulent individuals or groups, especially on WhatsApp, claiming they can upgrade or inflate scores.
JAMB emphasised that such claims are false and criminal, adding that any candidate found engaging in such acts risks having their registration cancelled.
It also warned that results may be withheld or withdrawn where infractions are discovered after the examination.
Date for main UTME 2026
Meanwhile, JAMB confirmed that the main UTME for 2026 is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
Candidates have been advised to prepare adequately and follow all official guidelines ahead of the examination.
