The Rivers State Government, under the leadership of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, has officially announced the commencement of a teachers’ recruitment exercise for public primary and secondary schools across the state.
This recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening both the basic and secondary education sectors by engaging qualified professionals who are passionate about teaching and committed to improving learning outcomes in classrooms.
Available Positions
Applications are open for the following roles:
- Primary School Teachers in all subject areas
- Secondary School Teachers in all subject areas
Requirements
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed) or a Bachelor’s Degree in any teaching subject along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE)
- Hold a valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) Certificate
- Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or have an Exemption Certificate
- Demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills
- Be computer literate
- For primary school teaching roles, candidates must have at least the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
