Dangote Cement Plc has opened applications for its HEMM Operators Training Programme designed to train and develop skilled operators for mining operations in Nigeria.
The programme aims to build a pool of competent Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM) operators who can work safely and efficiently within Dangote Cement’s mining environment.

About the Programme
The HEMM Operators Training Programme is a structured 6-month training that combines both theoretical and practical learning.
Participants will undergo behavioural screening, safety training, classroom sessions, simulations, workshops, and intensive field practice. The goal is to equip candidates with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to operate heavy-duty mining equipment safely.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of five (5) credit passes including English and Mathematics in WAEC/NECO
- Technical college graduates with NTC, NABTEB, or Trade Test I, II, III are eligible
- Must be between 22 and 35 years old
- Possess a valid means of identification
- Must be physically and mentally fit
- Strong discipline and safety awareness
- Willingness to undergo intensive training and assessments
Previous experience in mining or equipment operation is an added advantage but not compulsory.
