KANO — The Kano State Hospitals Management Board has announced a recruitment drive targeting retired Consultant Doctors and Specialist Nurses to support healthcare service delivery across the state.
In a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Samira Suleiman, the initiative seeks experienced professionals willing to return on contract engagement to strengthen medical services in public health facilities.
According to the statement, the recruitment is open to qualified specialists in key areas, including perioperative nursing, psychiatric nursing, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialisation, and theatre nursing, as well as other relevant medical and nursing fields.
The Board noted that the move is part of efforts by the state government to improve healthcare outcomes by leveraging the expertise and experience of retired professionals.
Interested applicants are required to obtain application forms from the Kano State Hospitals Management Board. Completed forms must be accurately filled and submitted to the Director of Medical Services at the Board’s headquarters.
The statement urged eligible candidates to apply without delay, emphasising the importance of the programme in boosting service delivery across hospitals in the state.
The recruitment is expected to bridge workforce gaps and enhance the quality of care through the re-engagement of seasoned medical personnel.
