Applicants of the 10 Million Nigerian Youth and Women Up-skilling Initiative have started receiving email notifications indicating their selection into the programme, with bank account numbers already created for them by VFD Microfinance Bank.

Findings show that several applicants confirmed receipt of the email, which contains details of newly generated bank accounts, signalling their inclusion in the ongoing empowerment scheme.

The development follows the recent announcement of a partnership between WAWUAfrica and VFD Microfinance Bank, aimed at driving financial inclusion and large-scale empowerment across the country.

In a statement shared by WAWUAfrica, the collaboration was described as a strategic move to empower 10 million Nigerians, particularly women, youths, entrepreneurs, and artisans, by providing access to financial tools and structured support systems.

According to the organisation, the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between skills acquisition and financial access, enabling beneficiaries to grow sustainable livelihoods and actively participate in the economy.

The statement further noted that the partnership goes beyond numerical targets, focusing on unlocking opportunities and fostering long-term economic growth at the grassroots level.

Despite the ongoing selection process, applications for the programme remain open, with interested Nigerians encouraged to apply while registration is still in progress.

Prospective applicants are advised to monitor their emails regularly for updates regarding their application status and further instructions.

Application is still ongoing, and interested persons can Apply Here.
