The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Sokoto State Chapter, has announced a targeted Digital Skills Training programme aimed at equipping young Nigerians with practical, in-demand technology skills. The initiative is designed to empower participants with knowledge that supports self-reliance, employability, and long-term community development.
This programme will select 50 young men and women for an intensive training experience focused on building foundational and intermediate digital competencies.

The YAN Digital Skills Training is structured to address the growing demand for digital knowledge across sectors. With increasing reliance on technology in both formal and informal economies, the programme seeks to bridge the skills gap among Nigerian youth.
Participants will receive hands-on training delivered by experienced facilitators, ensuring practical exposure alongside theoretical understanding.
Training Areas
Selected participants will be trained in the following key areas:
Digital Literacy
Participants will develop essential computer skills, including the effective use of digital tools, internet navigation, and basic productivity applications required in today’s workplace.
Data Analysis
The programme introduces participants to data handling techniques, including how to collect, interpret, and utilise data for decision-making across different fields.
Cybersecurity (Introduction)
This component focuses on online safety, data protection, and basic cybersecurity principles, enabling participants to navigate digital spaces securely and responsibly.

Due to the limited number of slots available, only 50 participants will be selected.
