The National Youth Service Corps has announced a supplementary online registration exercise for recently uploaded prospective corps members, as part of preparations for the 2026 service year.
In an official notice released by the scheme, the registration window is scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 9, and will end on Saturday, April 11, 2026.
The management stated that the exercise is specifically targeted at prospective corps members whose details were newly uploaded to the NYSC portal, giving them an opportunity to complete their registration and participate in the mobilisation process.
According to the notice, affected candidates are expected to log on to the NYSC online registration platform within the stipulated period to provide the required information and complete all necessary procedures.
The scheme emphasised that failure to register within the given timeframe may result in delays in mobilisation, urging all eligible candidates to take advantage of the window without procrastination.
The NYSC further advised prospective corps members to ensure that all details provided during registration are accurate, as discrepancies may affect their deployment and documentation during orientation.
The announcement comes amid ongoing efforts by the scheme to streamline its mobilisation process and accommodate increasing numbers of graduates entering the national service programme.
The NYSC remains one of Nigeria’s key national programmes, established to promote unity and foster development through the deployment of graduates to different parts of the country for a one-year mandatory service.
Stakeholders in the education sector have continued to encourage prospective corps members to stay updated through official communication channels to avoid misinformation and potential exploitation by fraudulent agents.
