When the Orientation Camp Will Start

Swearing-In Ceremony Date

This is the official moment you become a corps member. Attendance is compulsory, and you are expected to be fully kitted in your NYSC uniform.
Duration of the Orientation Exercise
The orientation programme will last for 21 days, as usual. It will run across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory at the same time.
Camp activities will officially end on Tuesday, 12th May 2026.

Important Travel Advice for Corps Members
NYSC management has also issued a strong warning about safety, especially when travelling to camp.
All prospective corps members are advised not to travel at night. If your journey extends into the evening, you should stop and continue the next morning.
You can pass the night safely at:
- NYSC lodges
- Military formations
- Police stations or outposts
- Palaces of traditional rulers
This advice is very important, considering security concerns on some Nigerian roads.
