Four major UN Volunteer categories now define eligibility
According to the eligibility breakdown published by UNV, candidates can enter through four principal categories:
UN Volunteer Associate
This category is designed for individuals with at least one month of work experience. Applicants must be between 18 and 80 years old.

UN Volunteer Specialist
Specialist roles require a minimum of three years of work experience, alongside specialised knowledge and strong technical skills.
