According to the Air Force, the shortlisted applicants are those who successfully passed the Zonal General Aptitude Test conducted across 15 NAF Bases nationwide on 5 December 2025. Their names have now been published on the official Nigerian Air Force recruitment portal.

The Selection Board Interview is scheduled to take place at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna, from 27 April to 13 June 2026.

Candidates must appear according to assigned batch dates

NAF stated that all shortlisted candidates are required to report strictly in line with the batch schedule assigned to them on the recruitment portal.

The agency warned that any candidate who fails to report on the designated date for their batch will automatically lose the opportunity to participate in the interview stage.

This batch-based arrangement is intended to ensure orderly screening and efficient handling of the large number of successful applicants expected at the Kaduna centre.

Documents and items required for screening

Candidates invited for the Selection Board Interview are expected to appear with both original copies and photocopies of their credentials and required materials.

These include:

  • Original and photocopies of academic certificates
  • Two white vests
  • Two blue PT shorts
  • One pair of canvas shoes
  • Four passport photographs
  • Scratch cards for WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or NBAIS result verification where applicable
  • National Identification Number (NIN) slip
  • Two office flat files
  • One bedsheet and pillowcase
  • Blanket
  • Mosquito net

NAF noted that failure to provide any of the required materials may affect documentation and verification during the exercise.

Recruitment remains free, NAF warns against fraudsters

The Nigerian Air Force reiterated that its recruitment process remains completely free of charge and warned applicants not to make payments to any individual or group claiming to facilitate recruitment.

The military institution stressed that online registration, aptitude tests, screening, and interview processes attract no fees at any stage.

This warning comes amid recurring reports of fraudsters targeting job seekers with false promises of recruitment assistance.

How to check the shortlist

Candidates can verify their names and batch schedules by visiting the official Nigerian Air Force recruitment portal https://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng/updates/ and download the PDF list.

Applicants are advised to check the portal carefully for their assigned reporting dates and comply fully with all instructions issued by the Air Force.

What this means for applicants

The release of the BMTC 46/2025 shortlist signals the transition from aptitude testing into the physical screening and interview phase, which is one of the most critical stages in the NAF enlistment process.

For thousands of applicants across Nigeria, the Kaduna interview exercise will determine final admission into the next Basic Military Training Course intake.
