The Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) has announced the upcoming launch of Rev360, its next-generation revenue administration platform, in what the agency describes as a major transition towards “Tax Administration 3.0.”

According to a press release issued on Thursday, the new platform is scheduled to go live on April 30, 2026, and is expected to enhance efficiency, transparency, and taxpayer experience across Nigeria’s tax administration system.

The agency said Rev360 represents a significant milestone in its digital transformation drive, building on earlier reforms introduced through TaxPro Max and other electronic tax filing systems.

Shift towards Tax Administration 3.0

NRS stated that Rev360 marks the next phase in the evolution of tax administration in Nigeria, moving beyond fragmented and semi-digital processes into a more integrated, intelligent, and automated ecosystem.

The Service explained that while previous platforms improved electronic filing and reduced physical interactions, Rev360 is designed to deliver broader capabilities, including end-to-end automation, real-time reporting, and embedded tax processes integrated into taxpayers’ natural business systems.

According to the statement, this shift will enable faster processing, improved decision-making, stronger compliance monitoring, and a more seamless experience for individuals and businesses interacting with the tax authority.

What Rev360 is expected to deliver

The NRS noted that the new system is structured to meet the growing demands of taxpayers and the wider economy by creating a more responsive and digitally accessible tax environment.

Under Rev360, taxpayers are expected to benefit from:

  • Faster tax processing timelines
  • Improved real-time access to tax information
  • Reduced administrative bottlenecks
  • Expanded digital service options across filing and compliance channels

The agency added that the platform is intended to strengthen taxpayer confidence while aligning Nigeria’s tax administration framework with global best practices.

Phased rollout to begin with medium and emerging taxpayers

Following what it described as a successful pilot phase, the NRS said implementation will begin with Medium and Emerging Taxpayers as the first category in the rollout process.

The Service said a structured phased approach has been adopted to ensure system stability and minimise disruption during migration. It added that communication campaigns, stakeholder engagement sessions, and user training programmes are already underway ahead of the launch date.

Leadership backs innovation agenda

The agency linked the Rev360 launch to its broader technology advancement strategy under the leadership of Executive Chairman Zacch Adedeji, noting that the platform reflects the institution’s commitment to innovation, institutional capacity strengthening, and service excellence.

The NRS said Rev360 reinforces its long-term objective of building a transparent, taxpayer-focused revenue system capable of supporting national development priorities.
