Applicants to Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme have been asked to change their selected training centres following a recent capacity review.
Nigeria Startup News reports that in a notice sent to candidates, the programme management explained that some centres have reached their maximum intake and can no longer accept additional applicants.
“Thank you for your interest in the TVET program. Following a capacity review, your selected center is currently unable to accommodate additional applicants.”
As a result, affected individuals are required to log in to the official TVET portal and choose alternative centres to continue their application process.
“To proceed with your application, please log in to the TVET platform and choose an alternative center: https://www.tvet.education.gov.ng/new-application.”
The message stated that the reassignment is necessary to ensure proper training conditions and avoid overcrowding across facilities. Applicants were directed to visit the TVET application portal to complete the update and secure placement in available centres.
This development suggests strong interest in the programme, which aims to equip Nigerians with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship. However, it also highlights ongoing infrastructure and capacity challenges within the system.
Applicants are advised to act quickly to avoid delays, as placement may depend on available space in other centres.
