The Kano State Government has commenced registration for farmers under a new digital identity initiative aimed at improving access to agricultural support in 2026. The exercise is designed to capture accurate data, enhance planning, and ensure transparent distribution of government interventions across the state.
The registration is strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, with farmers advised to complete their application early to secure consideration for upcoming support programmes.

The government emphasised that the initiative is part of broader efforts to modernise the agricultural sector and improve the delivery of support to genuine farmers.
